2011 PIT Camp - July 12, 13 & 14

Fourth Annual Camp to Benefit Kids in Tulsa Area

The Fourth Annual 2011 Performance Improvement Training (PIT) Camp put on by the Day of Champions and The #14 Foundation will be held July 12, 13 and 14 at Sand Springs High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. The PIT Camp has had the privilege to make an impact on high-risk and underprivileged youth in the Tulsa area over the last four years in large part due to the generous support and sponsorship by Summit Financial Group and 97.1 FM The Sports Animal.

The PIT Camp targets five areas impacting high-risk, underprivileged youth:  health, fitness, academic achievement, life choices, leadership and skill enhancement. The young boys and girls who attend the camp are challenged to raise the bar in the key areas of their lives. The athletes, coaches, teachers and volunteers set examples of respect and putting others first by supporting one another.

Campers are taught the four principles of leadership, among other ‘life’ lessons, and focus on developing a well-rounded sense of self. The experience is far beyond a camp geared toward just athletic skill enhancement, it provides one-on-one mentoring and coaching in both athletics and academics. The PIT Camp is monumental in developing life skills that will be valuable to them throughout their lives.

The PIT Camp targets underprivileged boys and girls ages 8-18 providing them the opportunity to attend an athletic/academic camp.
