CHRISTMAS WISH LIST PROJECTIt's a Wrap! 2008 Christmas Project Finishes Strong!Introduced in 2000, the annual Christmas Wish List Project is a vision of Josh Heupel, former University of Oklahoma quarterback & The #14 Foundation President. The #14 Foundation Christmas Wish List Project provides a way for the people of Oklahoma to positively impact the lives of children in their communities during the holidays. The project was developed as way to reach out to the children-in-need of Oklahoma & has seen tremendous growth & success since its inception. This success is due to the way in which the project team of The #14 Foundation, (FCA) Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Walmart and Coca-Cola have taken a concept & developed it into a tried and true system helping underprivileged children have a Christmas to remember. The project has grown from 13 children in 2000 to near 500 children today & is a testament to what a team can accomplish if they are centered on the same goal: helping children realize their dreams! |
Dear The #14 Foundation & Special Elves, Thanks is not enough to express our appreciation for the generosity of the Josh Heupel's The #14 Foundation. The looks on the faces of the parents as they pick up the gifts is priceless. It is so unfair that I get all the hugs of thanks and gratitude and you guys do all the work! Please share with all involved that these kids would have no Christmas without this special program. Of course, getting to meet the famous football players was certainly the highlight of the day for many of our staff and students! Wow! We felt very special! Thanks again for another very successful year serving our families! Merry Christmas! Counselor |
